Moss does not often have the most interesting common names, but this one is making an effort. "Electrified Cat's Tail Moss" (Rhytidiadelphus triquetrus)

Tree moss, so named for looking like a tree.

I forget what this one is, but we all agreed it's pretty.

I disturbed a pill bug (Armadillidiidae) who promptly rolled himself into a ball. The Buster Bluth of the bug world.

Once again distracted by not-mosses: I think this is thyme-leaved speedwell (Veronica serpyllifolia)?

 Lover’s moss (Aulacomnium androgynum)

Distracted by not-mosses. This is part of a skunk cabbage.

 Another kind of Rhytidiadelphus

"Are you taking a picture of an English daisy?" another person on the tour asked, momentarily incredulous that I would bother with something so common. I said, "Yes, they are pretty," and she conceded that they are, despite their ubiquity.
